Earth Walk

Earth Walks are an alternative to the "follow me, gather round" approach to outdoor learning, focusing on the magic of discovery, enthusiasm and involvement. They are special adventures with the emphasis on re-awakening individuals senses, sharpening perceptions and feeling at home with the natural world.

An Earth Walk is based on a half day session and is ideally suited for groups of around 17 involving a walk through Hawthorne Wood opposite the Centre, followed by a creative writing session reflecting their experiences. There is scope to cater for larger group sizes by combining various sessions; please call us to discuss your requirements.
Earth Adventure is a one day adventure for a full class of 6-11 year olds using novel and exciting activities to explore the natural world.

The morning session will be spent in a local wood using all
five senses to investigate smells, tastes, touches, sounds and colours.
