Wildside is hosting an Open Day at its Hordern Road centre on Saturday 18th September.
The event, which is free to all visitors, takes place between 11am and 4pm.
Visitors will be able to experience some of the various nature based activities that Wildside offers as well as being entertained by dance troupes and a performance by Wolverhampton’s very own ukulele band the Ukeing Wolves.
“We are really looking forward to opening our doors and showing the communities of Wolverhampton more of what we do here at Wildside,” comments Mark Hand, Business Development Director. “Alongside the more traditional offerings such as tombola, plant and cake stalls, we will be offering canoe taster sessions, fire lighting and den building in our woodland, and free trips on our narrowboat – but visitors are advised to arrive early for these as they will be offered on a first come first served basis.
“Our ethos here at Wildside is all ‘age, all abilities – reconnecting people with nature’ and we hope our Open Day will show the people and communities of Wolverhampton what a unique natural resource they have right here on their doorstep.”
