Welcome to ‘The Burrow’

The Mayor of Wolverhampton officially opened Wildside’s new learning space on Tuesday 9th July.

The new log cabin facility is situated in our woodlands will offer more opportunities for local families and community organisations to take part in the activities offered here at the Centre.

The official launch also unveiled the name of the new facility as ‘The Burrow’ which was chosen after a poll conducted with Wildside’s users and followers of its social media channels.

The log cabin situated in the middle of our woodland offers an environment which is more closely aligned to the sense of ‘learning in, and through the natural world’ which lies at the heart of the Wildside ethos. The new facility will double the footprint of the indoor teaching and learning spaces available here at Wildside.

The project has been supported with donations from the Asda Foundation, Wolverhampton Homes, local financial service organisation OSB Group, Carvers Building Supplies and the 5/344 Transport and General Workers’ Union Benevolent Fund.

The Burrow will enable Wildside to extend its offering to local families and community organisations who can reap the incredible benefits of being in a natural environment right here in the middle of the city.
