We make structures designed to increase bio-diversity.

We make several kinds of bird boxes (blue tits great tits, robins, sparrows, owls etc), bat boxes, and bug boxes to encourage some of the insect species that benefit gardeners. For more specific projects, we have also made otter holts and hibernation boxes for hedgehogs.

We involve children or adults in making the boxes or putting them together in ways that are appropriate to age and ability. Almost anyone can go away feeling they made a box or helped to make one. If needed, aspects of the design and construction challenge can be included e.g. drawing a design and measuring up timber.

The cost of a session will depend upon numbers in the group, complexity of the boxes required and how many boxes are needed for taking away.
