Feeling part of a community can help build feelings of happiness and wellbeing. It gives a sense of worth and belonging through the support and understanding from like-minded people.
Wildside will be running a programme of activities over the next 18 months to help build a sense of community for those who may feel at risk of loneliness or isolation… and we want you to be involved.
We have been awarded some funding through the Know Your Neighbourhood programme to work with people who may feel isolated or may be at risk of risk of suffering from social isolation and loneliness. We want to find out what factors might lead to feeling isolated and then work with the local communities here in Whitmore Reans and surrounding areas to identify and develop programme and activities to address the issues leading to social isolation and loneliness.
To do this we want to hear from individuals and community groups to hear abut the issue that affect them and crucially how we may be able to work together to develop activities, social events and strategies to ensure that no-one in our community should be at risk of becoming socially isolated or lonely.
The first thing we intend to do is to open our doors and invite you to come along and and tell us you stories. So come and join us for a cuppa and a chat and tell us how through working together we can build a true sense of community here in Wolverhampton… and please feel free to bring a friend.
Join us for a cuppa!
