Our offer to children and families
This group operates on Mondays in term time either from 9.30 to 11am or from 1 to 2.30pm.
It offers fun outdoor activities for pre-school children and their parents or carers.
The group is led by an experienced and fully qualified Forest School leader and allows children to play and explore the natural world in their own way.
Children (and adults too) make huge gains in confidence.
We offer holiday activities in all school holidays and half-terms except the Christmas holiday.
We keep prices as low as we can to help families and concessions for low income families are available.
The Easter, May and summer programmes include open family boat trips.
The detailed programmes are available on this website under What’s On about a month beforehand.
They set out the nature of the activity, the age group for which it is suitable and the cost.
This Group is for children age 5-11 who are interested in wildlife.
It normally meets in term time on the second Sunday of the month from 10am to 12 noon.
It is supported by the Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust.
A varied programme of learning about nature, exploring the outdoors, quizzes, crafts and games is fun, exciting and interesting.
Please ring to tell us if a new child wants to come along and try it.
From time to time, we offer open family cycle rides, towards Wombourne or towards Aldersley.
There is always a free bike safety check first.
Bikes are available to borrow.
Bike maintenance courses and road safety training are also sometimes available.
All these will be advertised on Facebook and shown on the website under What’s On.
If you are particularly interested, please let us know and ask to go on our mailing list.
Look out for our special events like the Open Days. These are often free and provide a chance for all the family to try out what’s on offer at Wildside.
They will all be advertised on Facebook and on the website under What’s On.
We have a concession scheme to help families on low incomes join our holiday activities. You will need to show us evidence of receiving certain benefits.
