Our offer to children and families
Little Explorers
This group operates on Mondays in term time, we run three sessions:
9:30am – 10:45am, 11:15am – 12:30pm and 1:15pm – 2:30pm
We currently have spaces available on our 11:15am and 1:15pm sessions
Little Explorers offers fun outdoor activities for pre-school children and their parents or carers. The group is led by an experienced and fully qualified Forest School leader and allows children to play and explore the natural world in their own way.Children (and adults too) make huge gains in confidence.
Cost – £3.50 per child per session. Concession rates for low income families are available, please contact us to discuss.
Holiday Activity Programmes including Narrowboat trips
We offer holiday activities in all school holidays and half-terms except the Christmas holiday.
We keep prices as low as we can to help families and concessions for low income families are available.
The Easter, May and summer programmes include open family boat trips.
The detailed programmes are available on this website under What’s On about a month beforehand.
They set out the nature of the activity, the age group for which it is suitable and the cost.
Open Cycle Rides and other cycling events
From time to time, we offer open family cycle rides, towards Wombourne or towards Aldersley.
There is always a free bike safety check first.
Bikes are available to borrow.
Bike maintenance courses and road safety training are also sometimes available.

One off special events such as Bird Ringing or Open Days
Look out for our special events like the Open Days. These are often free and provide a chance for all the family to try out what’s on offer at Wildside.

Concessions for Families on Low Incomes
We have a concession scheme to help families on low incomes join our holiday activities. You will need to show us evidence of receiving certain benefits.
