Wildside Activity Centre offers holiday schemes for local children and families at Easter and in the summer holidays and at some half-terms. The activities vary but might include cycling, canoeing, den building, minibeast hunts, pond dipping, treasure hunts and so on. There is usually at least one narrowboat trip in the programme for the main holidays. Activities are individually priced and costs are kept to the minimum possible to make these activities accessible for local families.
Some activities have maximum numbers or minimum ages. Generally children under 10 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
Programmes are posted on this website as soon as they are published. If you want to let us have your contact details, we can send you the information by email when it becomes available.
Wildside also offers programmes of walks or presentations to promote awareness of local wildlife.
These might include bird watching or the wildlife of the canal corridor. Click on the relevant heading to see any current series.
From time to time, there are also Special Events such as Open Days, Teachers’ Information Evenings or fundraising events. These will be posted on the website as and when they are planned.
Wildside generally reserves the right to cancel an activity if there are insufficient bookings.
