This exciting arts project has used microscopes to look at bees in a new way. The painting and stitch sessions with our artists have now finished. The fascinating individual art pieces are now being combined for a public exhibition to draw attention to the wonder of bees. The exhibition will be shown at Eagleworks Gallery, Alexandra St, WV3 0PW from 11th to 18th April, daily between 11 am and 3 pm. It will also be on show for one day on 27th April at Boundary Way Allotments between 11 am and 3 pm.
Another series of our popular bird watching walks runs on Tuesdays from April 2nd to May 7th, 10am to 12 noon. £3 per session. Just a few spaces left.

This group is for children age 5-11 who are interested in wildlife. It normally meets in term time on the second Sunday of the month from 10am to 12 noon. Our very popular group for pre-school children offers them the chance to get more confident in outdoor play. The leader is fully trained in the Forest School approach. Children, parents and carers love it. These Monday sessions are offered in term time either from 9.30 to 11am or 1 to 2.30pm. Sessions run this half term to 8th April and start again on 29th April. Cost £3 per session per child. Please ring us if you would like to bring your child.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small fast-developing charity in a critically important role. We would especially welcome to the Board people who share the ethos of the Centre and have experience and skills in the private sector, in finance, marketing or social media.
If you are interested in membership of the Board, please contact Liz Hoggarth on 01902 572240 for a full information pack, or email email@example.com. If you would like an informal discussion about the role, please contact Liz on the number above. There is no closing date and applications are welcome at any time.
We were one of the regional winners for the People’s Projects on ITV. Our project Wellbeing at Wildside has been well used and runs to the end of June 2019. It aims to help people with disabilities, learning difficulties, mental health issues and other long-term health needs to come to Wildside for activity sessions or boat trips or our staff can run outreach sessions at your venue. We would particularly like to hear from groups which have not used the Centre before. Please ring us if you would like to discuss booking a session.
We also have an Open Group running on Tuesday afternoons from 2-3.30pm. If you have a health issue or disability, come along to enjoy friendly company and some nature related activities and crafts.
£2 per participant, carers are free.
