On Saturday 7 September from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm, we are running another Dr Bike session instead of the ride originally planned. We have had a lot of demand for these sessions that help with minor repairs. So drop in with your bike and get it fixed. It’s a free session but you will need to pay for any necessary parts. We also have a few child and adult bikes for sale.
Our first training day for teachers and TAs on creative ideas for outdoor education for early years took place on June 14th and was a great success. “The best training day I ever attended”, according to one participant. The next training day is Saturday September 14th. The cost is £35. A few spaces still left. Please ring us to book your place.
Our popular group for pre-school children offers them the chance to get more confident in outdoor play, with a Forest School approach. Children, parents and carers love it. These Monday sessions are offered in term time either from 9.30 to 11am or 1 to 2.30pm. The first session of the autumn term is on Monday 16th September. Cost £3 per session per child. Please ring us if you would like to bring your child.
This monthly group is for children age 5-11 who are interested in everything about nature. It’s great fun with games and quizzes and getting outside exploring. The group starts again on Sunday 13 October from 10 am to 12 noon. £3 per child. Please ring to tell us if a new child wants to join.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small fast-developing charity in a critically important role. We would especially welcome to the Board people who share the ethos of the Centre and have experience and skills in the private sector, in finance, marketing or social media.
If you are interested in membership of the Board, please contact Liz Hoggarth on 01902 572240 for a full information pack, or email email@example.com. If you would like an informal discussion about the role, please contact Liz on the number above. There is no closing date and applications are welcome at any time.
We shall be running activities and boat trips at half-term between 28th October and 2nd November. The programme will be on the website as soon as it is finalised.
We are working with the Literary Festival to offer a pre-festival boat trip with performance poet Emma Pursehouse on Saturday 12th October from 11 am to 3 pm. £12 per person. Booking will be through Ticketmaster and we shall issue details as soon as they are available.
