This exciting arts project uses microscopes to look at bees in a new way. You can then create your own pictures through drawing, painting and stitch with the guidance of Sue and Elise, our artist leaders.
We have one session left on Sunday 17th February from 10am to 12.30pm. This is one of the stitch workshops: ideal if you have already been to one of the drawing sessions. The individual art pieces will be combined for a public exhibition to draw attention to the wonder of bees.
Suitable for adults and children (age 8 and over). £4 per person.

We were one of the regional winners for the People’s Projects on ITV. Our project Wellbeing at Wildside has been well used over the summer. It aims to help people with disabilities, learning difficulties, mental health issues and other long-term health needs to come to Wildside for activity sessions or boat trips. Activities are still available through the winter months – for example, we could run a birdwatching session or natural crafts – most of our usual menu in fact.

We would particularly like to hear from groups which have not used the Centre before. Please ring us if you would like to discuss booking a session either at Wildside or at your own venue.
We also have an Open Group running on Tuesday afternoons from 2-3.30pm. If you have a health issue or disability, come along to enjoy friendly company and some nature related activities and crafts.
£2 per participant, carers are free.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small fast-developing charity in a critically important role. We need Board members who will share our ethos and help us to continue to grow our programmes. We would especially welcome to the Board people who share the ethos of the Centre and have experience and skills in the private sector, in finance, marketing or social media.

If you are interested in membership of the Board, please contact Liz Hoggarth on 01902 572240 for a full information pack, or email lizh@wildsideac.co.uk.
If you would like an informal discussion about the role, please contact Liz on the number above.
There is no closing date and applications are welcome at any time.
